Lydden - Car Testing PDF Print E-mail
Friday, 12 March 2010

Luke Lawrence will be testing Pete Fosters Mr2 at Lydden this weekend.

"It's been a while since i've driven the car and i'm looking forward to being being the wheel again. It'll be nice to be on track after the winter break.

Becky has had her car sorted by Ryan (2bar tuning) at Surrey rolling road, so the AVC-r is correctly set-up now and the car feels very drivable, so she's going to be having a blast at the same time."

4th & 5th place championship standings for Luke PDF Print E-mail
Monday, 02 November 2009
Luke Lawrence came 5th place overall in the Triumph Triple Challenge TDG Cup and 4th place in the Toyota Sprint Series A1 Class.
"I'm pretty happy with the results in both championships, I'd hoped to be allot nearer the front on the Triumph however we had a really bad start to the season with the electrical problems etc - once I had those ironed out and the chassis set-up for me I started to get more comfortable - but it was just a bit too little and too late! Still it was one of the most enjoyable seasons racing that I've had in recent years - very relaxed and I've made some very good friends for life both in and around the series.
The TSS was a pity as Pete Fosters car ('The Beast') was an absolute pleasure to drive this season, but I only managed two rounds in it due to it being rebuilt from the hefty crash at Woodbridge. To still take 4th in class is cool, but I know the car was more than capable of podiums, and I really want to earn a Trophy for Pete's garage! The car set-up for 2009 was really good with chassis and engine a real good match - I'm driving the car again this weekend at a track day and am really looking forward to that!
I want to thank all my sponsors for making this year possible - with special mention to Pete Foster for the use of his car in TSS and also his daughter (Becky Foster) as the best looking mechanic in the Triumph Triple Challenge 2009!

Update from Brands Hatch PDF Print E-mail
Monday, 27 July 2009

Luke Lawrence rode to 4th and 5th places respectivly this Sunday at Brands Hatch in Kent. Despite a poor qualifying Luke made good starts in both races to claw back valuable points.

For some reason I struggled on Saturday to get confidence with the bike and set-up, Saturday was a real low point for me as I qualified on the back row of the grid.

Sunday morning warmup we made some further changes to the bike, and combined with a very kind offer of a tow from Ben Miller I managed to drop 3 seconds in my laptime!!

Both races I made a good start, although some chaos going into the first turn in each race meant we dropped the pack in the first lap. Although I had the laptimes to run up with the podium finishes in my class (TDG Cup) it was too little too late in each race. I'm still happy with 4th and 5th places - however I know I need to qualify better in order to stand a chance in the races.

i'd like to thank Ricky Chadwick and his mechanics for their help throughout this season, Ricky had 3 podium finishes this weekend and was really on form. Well done also to Ben Miller for his first ever win In the second race on Sunday

Its four weeks to Cadwell know and hopefully enough time for another track day, i'm determined to sort out my pace on this Triumph!
